It appears the Trudeau government’s post-election cabinet will be unveiled October 25th.
The date’s to be officially announced Friday.
The prime minister is expected to add a few new faces, while some could be leaving cabinet, and others like Defence Minister Harjit Sajan might be punted to another portfolio.
Government sources say it’s clear new leadership is needed in defence to deal with ongoing sexual misconduct problems in the military and suggest the time might be right to bring in a woman.
Possible replacements for Sajjan that are being mentioned include Anita Anand, currently Procurement Minister and Carla Qualtrough, who’s Employment Minister.
Apparently, the government’s considering creating a housing ministry to help the Liberals deliver on their housing promises during the election.
