For most of the 1920s, he was the most feared gangster in the United States.
And 100 years later, he still fascinates.
Memorabilia owned by the late mobster, has netted more than $3 million at auction with his personal side arm drawing the most interest.
It sold for $860 thousand.
The sale also included personal photographs as well as jewellery and furniture.
The material was sold by Capone’s granddaughter Diane Capone. She was motivated by her age and the increasing wildfire threat to her home in northern California.
Capone died in Florida in 1947 at the age of 48.
