Former Canadian fashion mogul Peter Nygard’s looking at more charges, this time in Toronto, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of six women.
The 80-year-old Nygard faces six counts of sex assault and three counts of forcible confinement.
All of the alleged assaults took place in Toronto from the mid-1980s to mid-2000s.
Word of those charges were announced as Nygard remains in custody in Winnipeg, where he’s agreed to proceed with extradition to the U.S., following his arrest nine-months ago on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering filed in New York court.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York says those charges relate to a ”decades-long pattern of criminal conduct” involving dozens of women in the U.S., Canada and the Bahamas.
It’s unclear how the Toronto charges will affect the extradition process.
