Some scary moments from trapped miners in Sudbury.
39 workers have been underground since Sunday at the Totten Mine in the western part of Greater Sudbury. But rescue operations are continuing and all are expected to the surface by Monday night.
No one has been injured.
The company says there was an incident in the mine shaft Sunday afternoon and the conveyance system used to transport employees to and from the surface was shut down as a result.
The workers have access to food, water and medicine and will exit via a secondary egress ladder system with support of the mine rescue team.
Totten is a copper, nickel and precious metals mine.
