Character actor Michael Constantine, a constant presence on TV throughout the 70s and 80’s has died.
He first came to prominence as Seymour Kaufman, the principal on “Room 222”. He won an Emmy for that.
However, most will remember him as “Gus” the Windex bottle-toting father of Nia Vardalos’ character in the 2002 movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”.
He reprised the role “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” in 2016.
Constantine’s agent says he died of natural causes at his home in Massachusetts.
Michael Constantine was 94.
