Most Zoomers first met Hayley Mills in 1960 when she appeared on the silver screen as “Pollyanna.”
That was when she was 12.
Mills is now 75 and has released a memoir called “Forever Young, described as an affectionate but clear-eyed memoir of an unusual career that began while she was a tween, swelled to global proportions during her teenage years and then dwindled into something quieter once she became an adult.
For instance at the age of 14, she was approached by Stanley Kubrick to star in his film version of “Lolita” but her parents turned that down, certain that her employer, Walt Disney, would have sent Kubrick packing.
“Forever Young” is available now.
