If you think you may have a few old video games kicking around unused, you could be sitting on an untapped fortune.
An unopened copy of Nintendo’s “Super Mario 64” has sold at auction for more than $1.5 million US.
The game, first published in 1996 for the Nintendo 64 platform was sold by Heritage Auctions in Dallas.
The game was the most popular game ever produced for the Nintendo 64 platform and was the first time the company’s iconic character was played in 3D.
The record sale came just two days after the previous record was set. On Friday, an unopened copy of “The Legend of Zelda” sold for $870,000 USD.
