Despite the UK’s loosening of COVID protocols, here’s a reminder that the fight isn’t over.

The London, West End, production of “Hairspray,” has been shuttered after a member of its production team tested positive for COVID-19.

Michael Ball who stars as Edna says they’re caught in the bizarre situation where the theatre can be full, but the stage empty.   He adds. millions of British Pounds are being lost and the producers can only lose so much money, before the production shuts down for good.

If all goes well, “Hairspray” will reopen, in London, July 14th.
