Toronto’s housing market was not as hot last month as in May, but year over year, the number of homes sold was up from just over 8600 last June to just over 11,100 in June of this year.
The latest Toronto Regional Real Estate Board report also says the average home price was just under $1,100,000 last month, an increase from just over $931,000 a year ago.
Home buyers had fewer properties to choose from though, as the number of new listings decreased by almost 13 per cent to just under 16,200 in June from just over 18,500 in May.
The report says June signalled the region’s housing conditions are moving away from record levels seen at the start of the year and forming a more robust market that could provide some relief for home buyers in the near-term.
