ONTARIO REPORTS FEWEST NEW COVID-19 CASES SINCE SEPTEMBER FOR 2ND STRAIGHT DAY

The province is reporting 244 cases of COVID-19, however, 80 are from last year that are only being reported now because of a data review by Toronto Public Health.
The number of new infections is 164 – the smallest daily increase since September 9.
Of the new cases, 32 are in Toronto, 26 are in Peel Region, 25 in Waterloo and 13 in York Region.
The rolling seven-day average of new cases is down to 215 – the lowest since September 14.
The test positivity rate is 1.1%, down from 1.6% from a week ago.

There are also 226 in hospital intensive care units, with 161 on ventilators as the number of ICU patients has fallen to its lowest level since early December.
