The founder of Canada’s first children’s museum had died in London, Ontario.
Those who knew her say Carol Johnston never lost her ability to see the world through the eyes of a curious child.
Her daughter says the Children’s Museum began as a trunk in the basement of their home and was created after the museum idea was tested in local parks, garages and classrooms.
Johnston started the museum in 1975 while studying education at Western University and after being inspired by a visit to the Boston Children’s Museum.
Carol Johnston was 89.
