The Ford government confirms it will not return to colour-coded framework when it starts to re open and hopes this will be the last reopening as more Ontarians get vaccinated. Health Minister Christine Elliott says the plan will be released ‘very soon.
“So it is something that we are working on with the Chief Medical Officer of Health but it’s also sector specific looking at what different types of different sectors could perhaps be reopened and what their specific needs and timelines are as well,” said Elliott.
Quebec is expected to announce its re-opening plan later today, based on Saskatchewan’s plan to open almost all activities by mid-July.
Ontario is reporting the lowest daily case count since March 1,016 new cases and 17 more deaths.
