Brigadier-General Krista Brodie will now head up the logistics side of getting vaccines distributed to provinces and territories.

Brodie joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1989 and during her time in the Canadian Army she has commanded platoons, a company and a battalion.

Brodie has been assisting in the COVID-19 rollout since November.

She now replaces Major-General Dany Fortin, who was suddenly removed from the post Friday and reassigned by the Defence department due to what’s described as a military investigation.

A report on Monday says Fortin is being investigated for alleged sexual misconduct dating back to 1989.
