He’s a former Masters champ who until this weekend, hadn’t won a major in 13-years.
Canada’s Mike Weir, who hails from Brights Grove, Ont. captured the PGA Tour Champions event in Texas Sunday, finishing the Insperity Invitational by two strokes ahead of American John Daly.
Because rain washed out the opening round Friday, the first round wasn’t finished until Sunday morning and the tournament was reduced to 36 holes.
The 50-year old says winning never gets old and speaks to the hard work and effort he’s put into his game.
