A tearful apology from Doug Ford for his government’s recent public health measures; some of which were quickly walked back.
”We got it wrong.  We made a mistake,” the premier concedes.
”These decisions … they left a lot of people very concerned.  In fact, they left a lot of people angry and upset.  I know we got it wrong.  I know we made a mistake.  And for that I’m sorry and I sincerely apologize.”
After months of refusing to bring in a paid sick-day program, the premier now promises one is coming.
”We’re bridging the gap of the federal government … we’re going to be working on that and we’re going to come up with a very strong program to protect the workers.”
Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown welcomed the news on Zoomer Radio’s ”Fight Back” with Libby Znaimer.
”Paid sick days will help.  It’s not the magic bullet, but it’s one of a set of tools we need to mitigate the havoc created by this pandemic,” says Brown.
He also told the show Brampton has 20% of the COVID cases, 10.5% of the provincial population and 10% of vaccines.
”The biggest thing we need to avoid a fourth wave:  vaccines, vaccines, vaccines, vaccines, vaccines, vaccines.”
