Jack Hanna, the former director of Ohio’s Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and TV celebrity has been diagnosed with dementia.
His family announced the news on his twitter account and say his condition has progressed much faster in the last few months. The 74-year-old -retired from the Zoo in 2020.
The wildlife conservationist often appeared on TV talk shows with zoo animals that sometimes didn’t behave.
Hanna has spent his life connecting people and wildlife, because he says that’s the key to engaging them in more impactful conservation efforts.
