The COVID-19 vaccine is being offered in clinics as of today to people as young as 65 in both York and Halton Regions.

This is ahead of the original provincial schedule.

Appointments for the 65-plus group will be available as of 8:30 Wednesday March 31st.

You can register on either the York or Halton public health sites or be redirected from the provincial portal. You can also call the hotline at 1-888-999-6488.

Mayor John Tory was asked Wednesday morning, when will the 65-plus group be able to register for a vaccine in a clinic in Toronto?

“How about yesterday?” Tory joked during a guest appearance on CP24, “But we’re on the provincial system in terms of the bookings so they have to work with us on this.”

A milestone has been reached at the City of Toronto with more than half a million doses of COVID-19 vaccine given to date.

The AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine is being offered to people 60 and over in a growing number of pharmacies and doctors offices in Ontario.
