Starting Friday, about 133,000 individual COVID-19 vaccination appointments for eligible seniors will be available online through the city of Toronto’s website www.toronto.ca/covid-19.
They will be for appointments between March 17 and April 11 at three City-run mass immunization clinics — Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre.
The city will announce Friday when the registration link is posted and live for those who will be 80 or older this year.
The city is expecting a high volume of traffic to toronto.ca and the provincial booking system.
Eligible residents are asked to be patient while those not yet eligible are being advised not to try to access the booking system.
The city will seamlessly move to the new province-wide system on Monday, with online bookings continuing to be made through the city link and the added option of booking by phone through the provincial call centre once it’s activated also on Monday.
