Now that the Golden Globes have come and gone, voting has begun on this year’s Tony Awards.  In what’s being called the the strangest-of-all Tony competitions, the voting is disconnected from both the period being assessed and the ceremony for handing out awards which has yet to been scheduled.

Among those eligible for Best Musical are the Alanis Morissette inspired “Jagged Little Pill,” “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” and “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical.”

Broadway Theatres have been shuttered since last spring and no one knows when the new season will begin or what form it will take.
