If you’re 80 or older and live in York Region, you can begin registering for the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday.
But that’s not the only region to get a jump start on vaccines for that age group according to Ontario’s vaccine task force chair Rick Hillier.
“Wellington, Dufferin, Guelph Public Health Unit where Dr. Mercer and her team are already well over the majority of the people over 80 years in their public health unit who have been vaccinated with that first needle,” said Hillier.”
“It’s also happening in Ottawa and today, tomorrow, through Monday, we’ll start in five or six other public health units.”
York Region Public Health website says an expanded list of health care workers are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine including front line workers in congregate and acute care settings.
