The province intends to begin administering COVID-19 vaccines to those 80 and older in the third week of March.
However, the head of Ontario’s vaccine rollout, retired General Rick Hillier, points out the schedule is dependent on supply.
An online booking system and call centre will become operational March 15 which is when those 80 and older or someone booking on their behalf can start using them.
After that the aim’s to vaccinate those 75 and older starting April 15, then 70 and older beginning May 1, followed by 65 and older starting June 1 and 60 and older beginning July 1.
