Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has died from lung cancer. The decades-long conservative talk radio host was 70.

He delivered his opinions with such certainty that his followers took his words as sacred truth.

Limbaugh was seen as a key player in Donald Trump’s rise to power and was later awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Trump…the nation’s highest honour.

Limbaugh took as a badge of honour the title”most dangerous man in America” calling himself the truth detector, doctor of democracy, and an all-around good guy. He also claimed he had talent on loan from God.

Recently, Limbaugh appeared to approve of some forms of political violence in the immediate aftermath of the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol. He also drew criticism when he dismissed the   coronavirus as the common cold.
