CANADIAN HOME SALES, PRICES HIT RECORD IN JANUARY

A record month for home sales and prices in Canada last month.
The Canadian Real Estate Association says sales rose more than 35% compared with January 2020, and up 2% from December.
The national average price last month was up almost 23% from a year earlier.
CREA says prices rose 10-15% in the GTA with an average price of just over $941,000.
Prices climbed 25-30% in other areas such as Barrie, Southern Georgian Bay, Kawartha Lakes, Grey-Bruce, Niagara, St. Thomas and London.
They soared over 30% the Lakelands region of cottage country, Northumberland Hills, Quinte, Tillsonburg, Woodstock-Ingersoll.
