The middle of a pandemic is an unlikely time for a fashion label to make a major breakthrough, but that’s what’s happening for the duo behind the Toronto brand Greta Constantine.

America’s National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman became an overnight sensation after reciting a poem at Joe Biden’s inauguration. And she chose to wear a gown by Greta Constantine on the cover of the iconic Time Magazine.

“Dreams can come true and not matter if you feel they’re not about to happen just say you know what, close you eyes and see the dream, we’re on such a high right now,” said designer Kirk Pickersgill. He and Stephen Wong have quickly built a cult following since Greta Constantine’s 2006 inception.
