His commercials dominated Toronto Radio for years as he sold suits out of “Korry’s on the Danforth.”

Saul Korman, who was known as “The Duke of the Danforth,” has died at the age of 86.

His death was announced last night on on his Facebook page.  No cause was given.

Toronto’s Mayor John Tory knew Korman and paid tribute to him as a character, a real entrepreneur, a gentleman, a nice man and a real Toronto patriot.

Korman was also described as a legend, icon, mentor and hero who helped shape Canadian men’s fashion.

Kory’s advice for the well-dressed man; four or five suits in rotation, a range of navy blue, charcoal, medium blue and gray works best.

Saul Korman was 86.
