Ontario’s weekly deliveries of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be reduced by as much as 80% over the next month.
Premier Doug Ford’s angry and frustrated with the drug maker.
”Man, we got to be on these guys like a blanket. I’d be outside that guy’s house. Every time he moved I’d be saying ‘Where’s our vaccines?’ ” said Ford.
With a Pfizer plant in Michigan, Ford’s appealing to President-elect Joe Biden for help.
”The least thing you could do, in Kalamazoo, where the Pfizer plant is, great relationship building, give us a million vaccines” added the premier.
”Give your great neighbour, that stands shoulder to shoulder with you, a million vaccines to keep us going, get us over the hump.”
Ottawa says vaccine shipments are expected to return to normal by late February and early March.
