As U.S. President-elect Joe Biden prepares for Wednesday’s inauguration, sources say he intends to pull the plug on the Keystone XL pipeline project the first day he’s in the Oval Office.

The Biden transition team has announced plans to sign dozens of executive orders in the first few days of the new presidency.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in his first conversation with Biden after the election in November, indicated he wanted to speak further about potential irritants, including Keystone XL and Biden’s proposed Buy American policies.
The premiers of Alberta and Saskatchewan are not happy with the reported cancellation.
Jason Kenney and Scott Moe say doing so will be disastrous for both the Canadian and American economies.
Moe’s urging the prime minister to meet with Biden and says his government will be in touch with its contacts in Washington.
