With new COVID-19 modelling numbers to be released tomorrow, Ontario’s Premier has posted a video warning of turbulent waters in the next couple of months.

Doug Ford is appealing to his fellow Ontario residents to stay the course until mass vaccinations begin in April.

“We’re doing everything in our power; the healthcare workers, the hospitals, the public health units are all doing everything they can to make sure we vaccinate as many people as possible,” Ford said in a video posted to Twitter Sunday afternoon.

One report indicates the province is on track to record an average of 6000 new COVID-19 cases daily before the end of this month, with the province’s intensive care units filled beyond capacity in early February.

The modelling also apparently shows a new coronavirus variant could dominate Ontario by next month.

There are indications the Ontario PCs may impose an overnight curfew, similar to what began in Quebec over the weekend.

Ford is set to meet with his cabinet ministers this morning when he says everything will be on the table.

Toronto’s mayor is weighing in on what’s needed to reduce COVID-19 numbers.

John Tory explained on Monday morning he feels the big box stores need to be closed down if we’re serious about closing all retail.

Sunday, another single day record of cases was announced for the province at 3,945 while 61 people died after contracting COVID-19.

But there are provinces in Canada where the case counts are extremely low, including Newfoundland and Labrador which saw its first new case in several days, and Nova Scotia which had none.

Mayor Tory also told CP24 he and his team is working on the plan to vaccinate 3-million people in the city once mass COVID-19 vaccines begin.

The Toronto Star has posted a special calculator to help you figure out when you will be vaccinated. Click here to answer four questions and find out.
