Another top Canadian bureaucrat is in hot water for heading south for a vacation amid the pandemic.
Dominique Baker, who oversees the Office of Border and Travel health with Canada’s Public Health Agency, accepted an all-expenses-paid holiday to Jamaica in November, just as her office was advising against travel.
In her blog posted on line after arriving at the Caribbean resort, she gushed about the free trip courtesy Air Canada and posted photos of the upscale hotel suite adding we feel safe as COVID cases are low in Jamaica.
On her blog, Baker describes herself as a public servant by and and Ottawa-based lifestyle blogger.
No word if she’s been fired or demoted.
