She was considered the scream queen of her era.
Tributes are being paid to British horror film star Barbara Shelley, who has died after contracting Covid-19.
She was best known for appearing in a string of horror films for Hammer Productions in London in the 1950s and ’60s working with the likes of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
She also performed on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company and had parts in the drama “Doctor Who.”
Barbara Shelley was 88.
