Toronto`s top doctor released the latest COVID numbers for the city.

“The youngest of those who’ve died was 30-years-old and the youngest person in hospital is 11-years-old,” said Dr. Eileen de Villa says who also revealed there are currently 646 news cases in Toronto, 300 are in hospital, 86 in ICU and nine new deaths.

Meantime, Mayor John Tory says he and other civic leaders in the Toronto-Hamilton region are united in supporting the new lockdown orders. But Tory says they continue to push the province and Ottawa to ensure sick pay for anyone with COVID and they want extra supports for small business.

“We believe it is urgent that the additional supports referenced today and be made available to these small businesses immediately and that greater attention be promoting the availability of existing programs for which there has been very little in the way of uptake,” said Tory.
