YORK REGION MOVING INTO LOCKDOWN MONDAY

Move over Toronto and Peel Region – here comes York Region.
As of Monday, York and Windsor-Essex move into lockdown, joining Toronto and Peel, which remain in lockdown until at least December 21.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says in a statement ”moving a region into Grey-Lockdown is not an easy decision, but it is one we needed to make in order to help stop the spread … and safeguard the key services we rely on.”
Moving into red are Middlesex-London, Simcoe Muskoka and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph.
Ontario’s reporting 1,848 new cases – 469 of them in Toronto – 386 Peel – 205 York and 106 in Windsor-Essex.
