While most Canadians are choosing a more solitary rather than merry Christmas, quite a few still intend to visit those outside their household; either locally or out-of-province.
An Angus Reid Institute survey done in partnership with Cardus, finds three-in-ten say they’ll be visiting with friends and family outside their home.
One-in-ten Canadians still plan to travel outside of their communities.
Four-in-five Canadians (81%) are concerned about their friends and family becoming ill.
Those who are not worried are twice as likely to say that they will be seeing friends and family; both locally and outside of their community during he holidays.
Despite the challenges this year, the same number of Canadians are looking forward to the holidays this year as in 2019.
