How are you celebrating Thanksgiving?

Premier Doug Ford says he’s getting calls from people wondering if they can visit their 80-year-old mother this holiday weekend and his advice is to use common sense.

“Tighten things up, did things get a little loosey, goosey? Ya they did, people were going out there getting in large gatherings and did some people let their guard down? Absolutely but now we have to tighten it up,” Ford told reporters.

But Toronto officials are being more firm with their rules.

“Please do not hold a big Thanksgiving dinner, please limit your thanksgiving dinner to the people you live with and if you live alone, the safest option is to join with others virtually,” said Toronto Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Eileen DeVilla.

Toronto Mayor John Tory says the best way to give thanks this holiday weekend, is to stay safe within your own household.
