Toronto, Peel and Windsor-Essex will have to wait a little longer to find out when they can enter stage three. Premier Doug Ford says the health team needs more time to make a decision.
“We will have an update for you on Wednesday on stage three on the three other regions and I’m hopeful we’ll have some good news to share on Wednesday,” Ford told reporters.
York and Durham regions, as well as areas in and around Hamilton and the Niagara area, entered stage three today that allows for indoor dining at restaurants. Bars, gyms and movie theatres are also allowed to reopen in those regions.
Ford was in Markham for his daily pandemic briefing to announced his government’s approval approval for a York University satellite campus that will accommodate 4,200 students beginning in the fall of 2023. Construction is expected to begin within a few days.
