Harvey Weinstein’s lawyers are already planning an appeal after the movie mogul was convicted of rape and sexual assault against two women.
Weinstein was immediately handcuffed and led off to prison, facing up to 29-years behind bars. District Attorney says he believes this is the new landscape for survivors of sexual assault in America. The jury found Weinstein guilty of sexually assaulting a production assistant in 2006 and raping an aspiring actress in a New York City hotel room in 2013. He was acquitted on the most serious charges, two counts of predatory sexual assault.
