Mark Saturday December 14th on your calendar. The delightful Christmas classic THE NUTCRACKER takes the stage at Toronto’s Meridian Hall featuring dancers from the world renowned Russian Bolshoi Ballet as well as emerging stars from the GTA.
Renowned choreographer and former prima ballerina Tatiana Stepanova is the artistic director of this big production with a cast of 80. Her company, Toronto International Ballet Theatre, is presenting the original Russian story of The Nutcracker, a rare opportunity to see classical ballet by some of the best dancers from around the world. Among the local dancers appearing in this Christmas classic, 16 year old’s Mithun Vanniasinghe of Markham and Teagan Hadcock of Hamilton. These two talented rising stars have been invited to study in Moscow with the Bolshoi ballet company, that’s produced some of the best dancers in the world. Both teens says the experience will be life-changing.
