Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will join his fellow G-7 leaders this weekend in France for their annual summit.

The group of seven richest nations remains a key forum for tackling issues that cross global borders.

The economy and trade are expected to be the hot-button issues during the summit.

U.S. President Donald Trump has already indicated that he plans to stir things up by rejecting support for the Paris climate accord.

He has also gone his own way by calling for Russia’s re-admission to the group.

Russia joined the G-7 in 1998 but was suspended over its occupation of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula in 2014.
