The oldest woman in Canada has passed away.

Sue Crozier, the daughter of 114 year old Ellen “Dolly” Gibb, says her mother passed away on Wednesday surrounded by loving family, friends and caretakers.

Gibb was born in Winnipeg on April, 25th, 1905 when Wilfred Laurier was Prime Minister.

A celebration of life was set for Saturday in North Bay where Gibb called home.

Her family credits her long life…to her love for her sprawling brood of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and of course great-great-grandchildren.
