Canada’s Conservative Leader  says he may ask the Senate to do a secondary investigation into allegations of PMO interference in the SNC-Lavalin affair. Andrew Sheer says it’s certainly another option adding the Prime Minister likes to pretend the people he’s appointed to the Senate are independent and this would be an opportunity to put that to the test. Meantime, the Justice Committee will meet again Tuesday after voting to investigate the incident but the liberal dominated group refused calls for key figures in the Prime Minister’s Office to testify. This all follows last week bombshell newspaper report that the PMO pressured  former Attorney General Jody Wilson Rabould to avoid criminal prosecution of the Quebec- based SNC-Lavalin of fraud and corruption charges.
