It’s Groundhog Day and Ontario’s Wiarton Willie made his prediction shortly after dawn this morning.

“Well I don’t know who he’s going to disappoint, but he said it’s going to be an early spring!” said Wiarton Mayor Janice Jackson.

That’s right!  Thanks to this cloudy day, Wiarton Willie did not see his shadow which means and early spring.

However, not all of the furry prognosticators are in agreement.

Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam saw his shadow and retreated into hiding meaning no early spring.

And in the U.S., Pennsylvania’s Punxsutawney Phil agreed with Willie and predicted spring-like weather will be coming early this year.
