Carnegie Hall will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth with 35 events next season.
The iconic New York concert venue will present two complete cycles of Beethoven symphonies in the same season for the first time, one on period instruments, in mid February and again in late March. A number of well known musicians will take part in the music programs including cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Emanuel Ax. The season opens Oct. 3.
