It could be a good time to sell for Zoomers looking to downsize.

Home sales figures for Toronto climbed 1.9 percent in September compared with a year ago. The Toronto Real Estate Board also reports overall sales are up over 100 listings to 6,455. And the average selling price was also up 3 percent to almost $774,489. Meantime, the board is hosting a mayoral event Wednesday afternoon. Mayor John Tory and his main rival Jennifer Keesmaat will each be given 45 minutes to speak about what’s in store in the housing market over the next four years.
