As Toronto’s International Film Festival kicks off, Mayor John Tory and Cinespace Film Studios have officially broken ground on a new film studio to be built in the city’s west end. In recent years, the TV and digital media production industry have grown to more than $2 billion in economic activity in Ontario. The new Titan Studios will feature two new 20 thousand square-foot studios in Etobicoke. Tory says he’ll continue to grow the film industry here if he’s re-elected.
