Don’t mess with these Grandmas.

A caravan of self-described Grannies from New York is going on a road trip to the U.S.-Mexico border to protest family separations introduced by the Trump administration. The silver-haired activists called ‘Grannies Respond’ plan to make seven stops during the six-day, two thousand mile tour to Texas. Group member Claire Nelson says aging may have slowed her down a little but it hasn’t shut her up. And another says this is not “Golden Girls, this is Grandmothers on a mission to make a political statement.”
