Experts say it may be hard to find a new group of executives to head up Hydro One. The utility’s 14-member board resigned en masse last week after the sudden retirement of chief executive officer Mayo Schmidt. But Jeremy Rosenfield of Industrial Alliance Securities says it could be hard to find a new group to fill the vacancies. He cites what he calls the political interference that led to Schmidt’s resignation, along with a lower pay package. Getting rid of the executives was one of the first political moves made by new Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who said the move will save taxpayers money.
