A Holocaust survivor known as ‘The Bride of Belsen’ has died at the age of 95.
Gena Turgel comforted Anne Frank as the teenager was dying of typhus at a concentration camp months before its liberation. She dedicated her life to sharing her story of surviving the Jewish ghetto in Poland and three Nazi camps. She got her nickname because she married one of the camp’s British liberators, Norman Turgel, after the war. For more on her miraculous life, click HERE
