Toronto’s waterfront will gain an additional 20 kilometres of a popular walking and cycling trail this fall.
Mayor John Tory and councillor Paula Fletcher have announced plans to complete the missing link of the Martin Goodman Trail. Construction of the new one million dollar section known as Baselands Trail, will begin in mid-July and is expected to be completed by November. City officials say the new link will mean a safe connection between the Leslie Street spit over to Cherry Beach.
