Toronto’s medical pride and joy has been promised 2.4 billion dollars for major upgrades and renovation.

The city’s world famous Sick Kids Hospital — the Hospital for Sick Children — has been promised the money by the provincial Liberal government to help rebuild the aging facility.

Premier Kathleen Wynne made the announcement Friday, making it the fourth such pledge through the week for Ontario’s health care system.

Billions of dollars were promised, but of course it could mean the Liberals would have to be returned to power in the June 7th provincial election.

Work on Sick Kids Hospital, Canada’s largest pediatric hospital, would begin this year and wrap up in 2028.
