Actor Reg E. Cathey has died at the age of 59.

The Emmy-winner was known for his deep voice, and played the part of “Freddy Hayes,” a barbecue joint owner in the Netflix series “House of Cards.”

Among his other credits were, “The Wire,” “Inside Amy Schumer” and “Star Trek The Next Generation.”

David Simon, the creatorr of “the Wire” said Cathey was a fine , masterful actor and a delightful person.
